Nihon Heso Park

Science and art meet at the bellybutton of Japan

Science and art meet within this large cultural zone. The unique name, literally meaning "Japan's Bellybutton Park," comes from its location - where 135° east longitude and 35° north latitude cross - the geographical center of Japan. Within the park are the Nishiwaki Earth Science Museum, Okanoyama Museum of Art Nishiwaki, the Japan's bellybutton monument, a space-themed children's park, an outdoor stage, a jumbo roller slide, and restaurant. The park is fun enough that visitors can spend an entire day in the park.
